| g r e e n d a y w i n a m e r i c a n s a w a r d s (: | The American rock groups Green Day and System Of A Down have topped the nominations list for the British Kerrang Awards. Each of the two groups received five nominations in Britain's equivalent of the Grammy Awards, in categories including Best Song, Best CD and Best Group on the Planet. Other American artists also received nominations, including the Foo Fighters and My Chemical Romance. In the category for Best British group, Feeder,Stereophonics, Funeral for a Friend, Placebo and Cradle of Filth have all been nominated. The ceremony will be presented live from London on August 25th, and will be hosted by Juliette Lewis. Last year's big winner of the night was The Darkness. |
